Our goal is to stop world hunger, feed the hungry and to help each individual help feed their family.  We believe this can be achieved with the Abundent Harvest Garden.

Many people in the world today go hungry every day. The CelluGRO™ Abundant Harvest Garden can help alleviate hunger by providing nutritious home grown food affordably.  It is designed to help grow a large number of different vegetables and herbs in a small area.  This means in those areas of the world where planting could not be done, the Abundant Harvest Garden can be used because of its unique design as a self contained unit.

Why do we use the Abundant Harvest Garden?

What we found was that by using the CelluGRO structure and drainage system used by commercial nurseries we could grow vegetables with as little as 20% of the water and less that 50% of the nutrients required by conventional, in-ground vegetable gardening practices. We also found that when using this physical structure along with the principles listed below we could raise, in a 4' x 4' space, sufficient fresh produce to supply a family of four on a daily basis. In less than ideal conditions it still produces a significant and diverse portion of the family’s food resources. This has great potential in urban areas, on rooftops, areas where there is no arable land available or where access is limited. A single person, spending less that 15 minutes a day, with no tools other than bare hands can feed her family. In some of our trials dishwater and wood ash were the only water and nutrient sources used.

The system uses environmentally friendly techniques. Because this is an intensive system there is far less environmental impact from cultivation, erosion, excessive water use or the use of pesticides. This system also provides safe food in areas where the soil may be contaminated or polluted because the garden is self contained. There is also a great potential for positive, long term benefit from the use of these gardens in various difficult venues.
